Does TargetCW offer benefits to employees?
Yes, TargetCW offers ACA compliant healthcare benefits to all eligible employees. Eligible employees are those that work full-time with an average schedule of 30 hours per week.
Can I make changes to my benefits enrollment at any time?
Unfortunately, no. You are only able to make changes (i.e. add/drop coverage or dependents) during our annual Open Enrollment or if you’ve experienced a qualified life event (QLE).
How do I pay for benefits?
Benefit premiums are automatically deducted weekly from your paycheck pre-tax, on or after your effective start date of benefits. If you are paid bi-weekly, two deductions will display on your paychecks.
When is Open Enrollment?
Open Enrollment is offered once per year, usually in November or December.

What is a qualified life event (QLE)?
A change in your situation — like getting married, having a baby, or losing health coverage — that can make you eligible for a Special Enrollment Period, allowing you to enroll in health insurance outside the yearly Open Enrollment Period. QLE’s must be submitted within 30 days of the event, to qualify.
How do I enroll in benefits?
You will be able to enroll in benefits through our benefits portal, PlanSource, 1st week of the month following 30 days of employment. Your benefits will be effective 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
– Your username is the first six letters of your last name, the first letter of your first name, and the last four digits of your Social Security number. Your password is your full (nine-digit) Social Security number without dashes.
What happens to my benefits if I leave TargetCW?
Your benefits remain active until the end of the month from your last day worked. At that time, you will receive COBRA enrollment information.
When will I receive my insurance cards?
You will receive your insurance cards in the mail 7-10 days after enrolling. You can also create an account with each of the insurance carriers and print temporary id cards.

Can TargetCW employ minors/interns?
TargetCW can assist with contingent workers that are minors by complying with state-specific guidelines pertaining to age and any scheduling restrictions that might be in place. Additionally, TargetCW is able to advise on how to obtain any necessary worker’s permits for these minors.
Can TargetCW employ workers who are on a visa?
Yes, TargetCW can provide assistance with workers who are on a visa and we will reach out to the client and workers if the expiration of their qualifying documents approaches during the duration of their assignment with TargetCW.

Does TargetCW provide support across all 50 states? Internationally?
TargetCW is equipped to handle your onboarding, invoicing, and timekeeping needs in all 50 states. We monitor any state/county/city specific laws that need to be adhered to so that we remain in compliance. TargetCW has an in-house International team that can assist with client needs abroad.
How do I add/update the timecard approver for my workers?
Don’t hesitate to reach out to your dedicated Account Manager directly either by phone or email to ask for updates to who will be approving timecards for workers. We always recommend listing an additional timecard approver in the event that the primary is out of the office or unable to approve the hours.
Sick time/PTO/Holiday Pay – What do I need to know?
TargetCW adheres to sick ordinances as they are mandated across state, county, and city lines. We will inform the client if any of their workers or departments
will be affected by a particular ordinance. Clients may offer PTO or Holiday pay to their contingent workers and TargetCW can assist with setting
up a robust PTO policy that would supersede any sick ordinances or mandates, should they desire one. Otherwise, TargetCW will closely monitor
the accruals and depletion of all sick ordinances and/or PTO plans.
What are expenses? How do expenses work?
Expenses are amounts that are incurred by the worker for transactions made for the purposes of work. If the client is requesting that the worker make a purchase that will aid in the completion of their task or else some purchase the client has offered to reimburse. Expenses can only be reimbursed with proof of purchase (receipts, bank statements) and can only be processed after the purchase has been made. Expense reimbursements are non-taxable. A worker will complete the TCW Expense Report Form and provide backup documentation and approval process will be arranged before the Account Manager pays the amount out.
What are per diems? How do per diems work?
Per diems are daily rates offered to a worker when they have to travel or be away from home overnight for the purpose of their assignment. The worker does not have to provide receipts for their purchases as this is an allotted amount. Per diems can be processed beforehand or after the trips. Per diems are non-taxable (as long as they below the federal limit amount) and will be processed like a reimbursement. Workers complete a Formstack which the Account Manager receives via email. Approvals can be arranged if the client wishes to view details of per diem request before processing.
What does the 1099 process entail (time, communication, etc.)?
When a client inquires about onboarding a 1099 worker, forms will be sent to the client and worker. The Compliance Team will receive, review, and forward both forms to the Client Relations Analyst (CRA) with a verdict. If qualified, the CRA will inform the client of the decision and loop in the Account Manager to provide onboarding forms for the worker. If unqualified, the CRA will notify the client that we can proceed as a W2 worker.
What is the deadline to approve of timecards to ensure no delay in a worker’s payment?
Timecards should be approved by 2:00 PM PST each Monday. Any managers that have not approved of their assigned timecards will receive a reminder email from their dedicated Account Manager to notify them of the deadline and offer assistance. TargetCW strongly encourages listing an alternate timecard approver in the event that the primary is unable to be reached or is out of office when it comes time to process payroll.
Worker’s comp is essentially like insurance that is used to pay for any injuries sustained while in the course of work. There are state specific laws surrounding worker’s comp and TargetCW must consider the costs associated with remaining in compliance which in turn, affects the rate of certain positions. To put it simply, there is less risk of sustaining an injury while working an administrative or clerical type of position than there is with someone who works in a warehouse.
Do I have to inform my account manager when I need a day off?
It is imperative to notify your direct supervisor with the client company. Feel free to loop in your TargetCW account manager as well.
Has my timecard been approved? What is the status of my timecard?
You can check the status of your timecard by logging into WebCenter account. Once a timecard has been submitted, you can follow the progress in WebCenter.
Timecards go from Submitted, Approved, In Payroll, and Completed.
How do I create and submit my timecard in Webcenter?

Each week you will need to create and submit a new timecard. To create a timecard, please click on the Assignments tab, select your current active assignment, and click Create New Timecard for this Assignment.
The timecard will default to the current payroll period. To select a previous week, please click the calendar icon that says Change.
How do I sign up for direct deposit?

How do I update my W4/tax settings?
Complete a new Form W4 and return it to TargetCW via this secure form.
I accidentally submitted my timecard and now I cannot edit it, what do I do?
To edit a submitted timecard, please find the timecard in the Submitted section and click the Unlock button.* This will move the timecard
back to the Needs attention section.
*Once a timecard reaches the In Payroll status, it cannot be unlocked or edited.
I am locked out of Webcenter, what do I do?
